I've been going to some new spots attempting to make friends and will continue to do so, but I figured why not just post on here to hopefully double my chances?

In RL I'm an adult female in my twenties, and this extends to my SL avi too. I'm bit of a homebody, again in RL and SL. I spend hours and hours at my parcel just going through the things I've bought and playing virtual Barbie dress up (honestly my favorite thing to do in this game!). My IMs are always open though as I don't mind chatting while I'm mucking with my inventory, shopping on MP, or idling while I alt-tab. It should also be noted that I'm a bit of an extreme introvert despite how it may seem, but I make the effort because at the end of the day making friends is worth any mild discomfort I feel from behaving like a normal, social human being.

What I like: I think some would call it the geekier things in life, like anime, video games, manga, comics, and alt history, for instance. I also really enjoy reading, and to a certain extent writing (I'm terrible at it, but it's a fun time passer), dance and choreography, as well as all sorts of music including international in languages I don't even begin to speak or understand without a handy translation. And I will probably always have Spotify going whenever we might IM. Your own things don't have to line up with my likes/hobbies - variety is the spice of life and all that, but if you happen to enjoy some of the things I do then it's a great starter conversation piece! Not needed, but nice.

I'm open to being friends with any and all, as long as the magical friendship chemistry is there. Or, as the title said, maybe just hit me up if you want some random conversation for awhile?

IM me in world, reply here. Whatever you prefer.

In RL I am to, but I have reached the point where I can be very extroverted in SL. A big part of it is the fact that I can control how i look, and that I can text instead of speaking. You say something it's out there and you can't take it back, but with texting you can check what you said before you hit send. For me at least that is a lot less scary. I will IM you when I get back in world.

That's very true, actually. It's easier to be a bit more extroverted on SL, though I still struggle with my predisposition even in a virtual landscape from time to time. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sometimes introverted people cross the line and become rude. You can be introverted and still be very polite, positive and cheery/fun-loving, yet most of the "introverts" I've had the misfortune of coming into contact with are simply rude, creepy or boring af. I'm an introvert myself so I share almost all the difficulties you have, refer my thread next to yours. For example if I message someone something funny or a compliment as an icebreaker, an introvert I'd want to be friends with would return the compliment or continue the joke, just out of basic manners. A rude one I wouldn't want to waste my breath on would reply with something like "ok" or "lolwut", completely ignore me or even tell me to go away. I'm kind of easily offended and easily burnt out by rude people, which is why I no longer message people as often as I used to cause the unfortunate fact is the people you want to be friends with is always a microscopic fraction of the people you see standing around.

Well those actually are antisocial and SL is full of them, rarely has to do with them being shy or anything. In time you will eventually find out that in Second Life there are many people who have some kind of untreated personality disorder (plus of course the usual idiots).

You don't need to be an extrovert in order to have primary school language/communication abilities and reply properly as an adult.

There many shy and introverted people of course who prefer their privacy but that's another thing, over the years i socialized with a few of them either as friends or as tenants and sometimes they were confused or even crying(for real) due to losing their virtual pet and stuff like that, extremely sensitive people but those are also very polite and gentle souls.
