I recently put my land up for sale. It sold immediately, taking me very much by surprise. The buyer has cleared the land by returning everything of mine. But all my lovely houses - an entire extended Gacha collection called 'Primavera in Toscana' is not in my inventory. It's worth around 8,000 to 9,000 Linden in total, because of rarity value. I'm not very experienced with Gacha because I'm not all that keen on the whole concept but I love that particular set of buildings, so I made an exception. Now it's all gone, however. Has anyone had similar experiences? Or can anyone suggest anything that can be done?

Your missing items may be part of a coalesced object in your lost & found - pop over to a sandbox, rez the lost & found contents and you may be lucky.

Sadly though you are highly likely to have lost them as returning no copy items is notorious for them going into the ether.

Ideally you should have sorted out the land parcel, cleared up up BEFORE putting it for sale but hindsight is not of any use.

I’m sorry that happened to you.  I don’t think there is much to be done with gacha being transferable (almost always).  If it was land you owned I’m sure some might suggest filing a request to have land rolled back, but with a rental I don’t think that is possible (if it would even work that way with no copy items to begin with).

sikver lin8ng- that’s not a very recent release, so you probably can rebuild a lot of it from the MP.

edit- I reread- it was not a rental, but land once owned.  I think that makes recovery even more unlikely 😞

Thanks for advice. I did investigate the coalesced objects - nothing doing there. I realise I should have cleaned up first, but it was my home, I was still living there, and I didn't really expect it to sell that fast.

You're sure you didn't check the "Yes, sell objects with land" radio button when you set the parcel for sale? Because that would cause all the no-transfer stuff to go back to your Lost+Found when the new owner returned it (even just by setting Auto-Return), but the no-copy gacha stuff would belong to the new owner now. If so, it may be possible they wouldn't value it all that highly, but maybe just enough that they didn't yet empty it from Trash. (Or maybe you've already checked with that buyer, in which case... sorry, I guess.)

Sorry to hear the items weren't in your LOST and FOUND because that is most likely WHERE they should be...?

Here is a link to Primavera in Touscana that has some of the rares selling for around 600 linden on Marketplace.  You could try searching this link.  It may not be as much to replace it as you thought, although it appears this set has 3 rares.  So I did not check the price of all 3 rares.  Maybe it's your destiny to start anew.  I love the houses by Scarlet Creative.  I have one as well but not this set.   You can find other homes by Scarlet Creative at about 250 lindens on MP.  That's how I bought mine.  I buy when there is an over-supply only and on the cheap.

One thing I forgot to ask, is did you log out and then log back in AND THEN look for the coalesced object in your LOST and FOUND folder?  If you didn't, try logging out and logging back in.

Thanks everyone. I did lots of logging in and out, but eventually some more coalesced items turned up and one of them contained everything - hundreds of items including all the gacha stuff, land formations, trees etc as well as various boat demos that I didn't even know were rezzed on my land and must have been hiding somewhere. (So that's where all the prim allowance went!)

Crisis over.

If something similar happens to you, keep checking the lost and found folder and every single coalesced item - they're the ones with the funny multiple box icon. Rez them somewhere friendly - a good sandbox, because there might be a lot of items all trying to rez at once. I used Builder's Brewery.

Better still, if you have a lot of gacha items and you're selling your land, take them back into inventory... learn from my mistake - because sorting this lot out was a pain in the proverbial.

Glad you found it - if you buy gacha again directly from creators - some of us exchange them for Mod / Copy versions so you may want to check with the creator of yours to see if they offer that service - much safer for homes and furniture to be mod/copy! ❤️

ps thanks @FairreLilette for the recommendation! ❤️

Better still, ALWAYS take ALL of your own objects back into your inventory before selling land.

I am so happy you found them!  I lost about 65 folders of gacha clothing during an SL crash and they were never able to be returned to me despite LL looking into it.  I still have the empty folders in my inventory and it breaks my gacha addicted little heart every day thinking of how much money I blew to get them and how much it would cost to replace them all.

I don't buy very many wearable Gachas but when I do I look at it this way, I'm buying re-sale on the cheap for 10-25 lindens on average - good to use for a day or two, so no big loss as many of us spend lots of money on copy items we may only use once anyways.

I mostly buy rezzables - furniture, etc.  What I do with my Gachas is rez empty boxes on the ground and load my Gachas into the boxes and store the filled boxes on the ground so that they are always rezzed that way and not in my inventory.   And then turn the boxes on invisible.  And, if moving, just pick up you boxes with your Gachas when you move.
