people can be very picky about their sim rating and their sim location in relationship to other sims.

some would probably not care but others would.

and im pretty sure that the move to zindra probably drove some users away because of the location change. as would any other major change. sure not enough that LL would ever really care about it but still may happen.

simple solution about not seeing the neighbors is make any m sim that is next to a g sim require all parcels to set their visibility to neighbors off in the parcel settings. then they would not see that anymore.

An easier solution would be to simply get rid of G rated regions.

A well-defined, managed, and enforced rating system empowers people. It enables them to make informed choices about their experience in SL. And that's good for retention, as well as just generally being a nice thing to provide.

There actually are people who want to restrict their experience of SL to things that are G rated. They deserve consideration and respect too. Their happiness is certainly more important than a "convenient" structural change that makes life easier for you, bit disenfranchises them.

"Chapter 28
The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarise: it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarise the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarise the summary of the summary: people are a problem."

another Bill that could come before the House "That mainland continents with mixed G and M rated regions, excepting the area generally known as Linden Village to remain G, be re-designated to M. That a continent made up of solely G regions be established for those who want a complete G experience"

That is precisely why all the Adult Mainland content was relocated to the Zindra continent.  Before that, we had only two maturity ratings, M (which at that time stood for "Mature") and G.  There were places where very Adult content was right next door to General parcels.

But apparently, just getting the porn out of sight of the kids isn't enough for some people.  Can't please everyone, I guess.  But there are a lot more General regions than Adult ones on the Mainland.  Splitting the Mainland up into three separate areas for G,M, and A would be a logistical nightmare, and would likely cause far more upset than it would be worth.

there are about 1600 G mainland regions and a bit over 400 A mainland (Zindra) regions. So logistically about 4 times the problem

a little thing about the 4-region G clusters. On some few occasions I have bumped into under 18 G players on vehicles on these regions. They get to the border crossing from G to M and are prevented from going any further down the road.  I tell them that they can't continue because G and M as the reason why. Give them a LM to Sharp continent so they can go further on their road trip than typically 2 mainland regions

To begin to answer this question, the first you must undertake is to declare what it is that you are standing independent of, and then write a constitution that specifically addresses the maladies of the previous government. You'd better have a good justice system, because these sorts of revolutions are always a reaction to mass inequity and injustice. And then notice the cyclical nature of human history, how the old revolutions decayed into mazes of hypocrisy, echo chambers of sophistry. This time you're going to do better. This time you're going to write the perfect constitution, the one that cannot be subverted to illiberality.
