I understand turning off RLV or switching to the SL viewer.....

This is a good natured game of trying to escape....without the often called "cheating".

I need to know if there is a sim that even though the collar is worn, that RLV will not work in.

I use Firestorm.

Any sim that has scripts disabled at the region level.

But you will still have to log out there and then back in.

Logging out of rlv is not cheating and never was. Some people try to claim it is: but it is they who are cheating by making that claim.

They are trying to get you to play by their rules which is not how it works.  They try to  deceive and  manipulate others into thinking it's cheating when it's not.

There is no cheating when using rlv at all.  People who claim it is are the ones that is unfaithful and untrustworthy and disrespectful.

Look I understand all that and so does the people I'm role playing with.

It's the challenge of it..... and I have figured out how now.   It's friendly fun.   This was the last step.... I'm about to dazzle a few friends.

Thank you for the help ! 🙂

As long as you do understand that, that is all I was making sure of. There are some here in sl that do not understand that and believe the lies; because they have had them shoved down their throat by so many people who try and claim it is cheating and without any former knowledge just accept what they are told.

scripts are disabled at the sanbox's near bay City eg

secondlife://Sandbox%20Newcomb/136/16

Scripts are only disabled at the parcel level in Sandbox Newcomb.

Also, when scripts are disabled at the parcel level, they are only disabled up to 50 meters above land height. Any location above that scripts still work.

that still may work but would still require a log out and in to actually cause them to disable, some rlv scrpts use the ao work around that allows the scripts to still function on tp into that area.

basically anything currently being worn sill will function on tp, just anything new added/rezzed wont. so a worn collar would still possible work under those circumstances until the log out and back in.

Of course controls perms scripts would still work under the 50m ceiling. I didn't intend to rule them out.

Going to a region with scripts off at the region level is the best method.

yeah, its the oldest and surefire trick in the book besides logging out of rlv. or using a client like lumiya that allows rlv to turned off without a relog required. so it would never trigger the whambulance scripts aka anti cheat scripts in the collars that whine out when you log in with rlv off.

But in a region with scripts disabled that prevents that as well, plus then the item could be removed if wanted and no indication of that it was removed would ever be sent.

The only problem is there is a couple of anti-cheat systems that are designed to make it a little harder, such as beRLV and bailrlv. but even they fail on a noscript region. since none of the scripts can be started until you tp out of that region.  so with those you just remove them until you tp out then put them back on and let the scripts start and do their little rlv handshake and all that jazz.

the other trick if not tp restricted is to log in to the no-script region to begin with and then the scripts are disabled from the very beginning or at least until you leave.

so keep a no-script region handy in favorites and then you can just choose it on login and bingo free of rlv.
