How do i abandon my linden house?

If the owner says governor linden then I believe you have properly abandoned it.  
 

can you Rez on your old land?  Set group?  If not then you did it properly.

yes i can still rez, its a house and land .

"Linden Homes are ready-to-move-in homes that belong to a themed community and are available only to premium account members."

Note: Linden Homes are available only to Residents at least 18 years old.

its the old style houses before they offered houseboats for premium member which you have to apply for.

so i actually only have the right to rez and live there. 

i still have the rights to it, it is showing in the account.

i know i could drop the account to basic, but that might only lock me out of the account until i resubscribe.

To abandon your Linden Home:

1. Choose World > About Land and click the General tab.
2. Click Abandon Land. 
   
   that is really all .. be sure you see the correct land info, stand on  your land, or in your linden home.

I don't know how quickly it updates but you could check your dashboard, under Land Manager>Linden Home, to see if it still lists something or gives you the option to chose a new home.

Ahh, finally found it. i think the bleeping instructions might be for the secondlife official viewer,

me, using firestorm, found it in the viewer world preferences, but not easy to find.

its now fixed and dont own it anymore.. glad i dont have to submit a ticket, would a been a pain..

Firestorm actually offers several ways to open the About Land window to buy, sell, or abandon your land.

• Click the location data that appears in the top menu bar, just to the right of the main menus.
• Click the location information shown just below that
• Click the "Land" button that appears in the info just below the main menu row.  It's to the right of the "Home" icon.
• Go to World > Parcel Details
• Right click bare ground and choose About Land (this is possible in a Linden Home, but may prove awkward, since many of them pretty much completely cover the land of their parcel with the house.  But there are several ways to get around this, too...)
  • Right click the house and derender it temporarily
  • Go to the Advanced menu, select Rendering Types, and uncheck Simple and Volume
  • In the Build menu, Options, set it to derender selected item.  Select the house.  It'll vanish.  Right click the ground.  The house will reappear, but you'll still have the context menu open and can select About Land.
