Where to get valid Alt code symbols for name display?

Just asking, there's a lot of display names showing symbols in world, and group tags are not enough to choose a letter & symbol.

I tried Alt code numbers in the input field, to change the profile name with a symbol, but a message said it's not valid with second life.

Is there a link to use valid Alt code symbols with the profile name?

Can Marketplace supply the correct add & change the profile display?

i don't think anyone has compiled an exhaustive list of characters that can be used in Displaynames

mostly because we can only change our Displayname once a week

the way I do it is to use the Symbol button in my Microsoft Word (other as capable word processors/text editors have the same capability) then copypasta the symbols into a SL notecard

after which we are part way there. Then is a matter of composing the hoped for characters in the notecard into names. Then copy paste our composition into the Displayname  change box and hope

There is nothing on the Marketplace that will deal with your issue.  You keep posting examples of OBJECTS that are sold there.  These do nothing to allow you to put symbols in your display name.  They are actual 3D objects that you can use to make signs in world.
