Hi all,

A friend has asked for some ideas on how to find a nice place to rent. She's not quite sure what she wants yet, so I can't be more specific, but I've directed her to the subforums here for rentals on mainland, homesteads, and private islands.

It occurs to me, though, that there must be other sources where rentals are listed? I can't believe that this is the only, or even the most common, way of finding rentals.

Can you help direct me to some external sites listing rentals? Or even some sources that might in turn help direct me?

and I believe @Leora Jacobusis renting a place from an estate that has a blog. @Sakura Sandsrented a place too, maybe it has a land page.

This is the place I keep a little Cottage in ... they do a lot of sozialising (conzerts, balls and so on) and what I like most about it are the seasons. I must have some snow in winter! ;)

I wish I knew of some good places to list and find private estate rentals!  There is a parcel open at Alurel - themed and all residential. She can have a look 🙂

A lovely parcel is available on Alurel - oceanside. Make your home on this 2048 m2 parcel a forested medieval estate!  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Alurel/90/209/24

I agree that http://www.anshex.com/ is a good place to get a parcel rental. I have rented from them several times, and their prices are good.

If your friend is considering a skybox, please consider Danamaith Rentals (I am the manager). She can contact me directly or visit our office:

The larger estates pretty much all have their own websites.  In addition, there's the Land forums, and also the Marketplace has a Real Estate section.

In world, there is the world Map and the Search window, both of which are pretty good at showing land for sale.  Search will also come up with land for rent.
