High heels and flats. High heels and flats. Everywhere, every store and nothing else. High heels or flats appear to be the only option that designers make in footwear. :(

I was so super happy when I found one design that is using the kitten heel. It was an event maybe 2-3 months ago. I bought both for me and alts. That and another store is all I can find. I did not even like the other store's shoe... but bought it anyway.

It must be more summer footwear somewhere that is using kitten and middle option. Who sell it? Now that Maitreya, Slink and Legacy has several heights, use them.... please.

Second that! Hurts my brain to look at feet in high position - and it makes my lower legs look too long...

Emma :)

Yes, when I see myself in high heels I want to edit my legs shorter. They are long, but not that long as they look. So in flat shoes, the legs look too short.

Maybe you should consider creating some yourself or hiring someone for commission, because clearly high heels or flats is what sells. Most people want to look sexy in SL and wear something that would be too painful to wear in RL, that's kind of obvious. A small percentage of people want to look completely realistic and that's fine, but designers are not going to spend the effort to design something that caters to 1% of the market when the same effort can be invested in the other 99% of the market for a truckload more revenue. 90% of stores don't even bother rigging their clothes to fit boobs larger than size 80 and waist thinner than size 30 lol.

At the risk of falling into a circular logic flaw, I'd say one reason that flats and high feet sell so well is that is essentially the only options available.  All feet have some combination of  flat, low, mid, high, and point options, but we generally only see the flat or high and so if we want to wear shoes at all, we buy flat or high.  I, for one, am always on the look out for mid and kitten heels and boots.  I might be wrong, but I think if more designers started offering up the those options they'd see regular sales enough to encourage more.

My suggestion to the OP is to startup a conversation topic about this in the fashion forum rather than down here.  It might gain better traction and expose the content creators to the idea that maybe there is a valid market for the shorter heels.  :)
