Applier Help!

SL has changed so much!  I feel so dumb.  I can't seem to get the knack of appliers.  For instances, I have a stockings applier, that I only seem to be able to get to work on my feet.  In the Lara HUD, it looks like it's applied all over my legs, but I don't know if there's something else going on..  Any ideas?

Yes if you have a new Lara body, and want to use appliers, you have to add a layer. Read here: https://sl-maitreya.blogspot.com/p/layers-page.htm

This was done so the Lara bodies should have less load, because we were having a body with 3 onion layers over that was like three copies plus the original, if we used them or not. Now we go only with a body, and add layers when we need them.

I must admit I never added the layers to see how it is done, I have stopped using appliers totally. I use only BoM now. If that link does not help you, is it an inworld group like Maitreya Lara friends or something? It is usually someone ready to help all the time.

If you stay away from Appliers things will work the way they used to.

Appliers are a workaround for mesh not being able to handle layers as the classic avatar body can. The solution was to make onionskin bodies and use appliers to put tats, underwear, and stuff on the correct individual layer in the Russian-like-doll body. 

Now BOM mesh bodies can use the same layering as the classic bodies you remember. You mostly do not need appliers.
