Land and Sky box

Do you have to buy land to open skybox to use?

Take my class on Second Life land!  It is held on Saturdays, at 12 noon SL time, at Caledon Oxbridge University in world.  It's free to attend!

yes

we either have to buy and pay tier on a mainland parcel.  Or rent a parcel from a rentals provider. Or if we have friend who will let us live with them on their parcel

Like most things, whether you are buying or renting, land is worth what you are willing to pay.  Wander around places that look interesting and get a feel for what people are expecting.

I suggest doing some basic reading:

If you are fairly new to SL, I suggest renting at first.  You can leave a rental parcel very easily if you find a better option, and rent usually doesn't cost much unless you are renting  a lot of land.
