Looking for a builder

First, 

I would like to apologize if I am sending this request on this form.  I am new and quite frankly, this is somewhat confusing.  That said:

 

I just joined Second Life (Username: ColdCrux). And I have a problem, I am trying to post for help in your community, but I keep getting notified that I don't have access.  Before I signed up for Second Life, I was told that I could seek help or builders in the community section, but I am not able to seek advice.

My request for assistance is as follows:

I am scheduled to speak @TEDx in September, but due to COVID, the event may not be live but virtual.  I want to make my entire speech as if I was inside a video game.

Please excuse my terminology; I am not familiar with the exact terms used for this type of project so, bear with me.  For example, I just discovered the term "live-animation." 

What I want to do maybe a "game-changer." " I am a keynote speaker, and like everyone else, I have been speaking virtual due to Covid-19.

So here is what I hope to do.  I want to make a presentation, but instead of sitting in front of a camera/webcam, speaking to people and delivering my virtual lecture, with my slides in the background...

 

I want to make my lecture as if I were on stage in a video game.  I want to take my likeness & voice and put it on a digital/animated stage with a digital/animated audience and digital/animated theater.

I saw a television show (NBC's The Blacklist) where the actors, because of COVID, did most of the show in the arrangement of a video game.

Does this make sense?  I am not familiar with the graphics within the video game culture and was wondering if this concept of my can or will work?

The project does not have to be "live-animation." " Therefore, if you can assist me with this matter or point me in the direction, it would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to SL.   I'm not sure if I can give you the answers you need but perhaps it might help if you say where you were asking for help.  When you say "in your community" do you mean here in the forum or in a group inworld?

Yes, it would be possible, using voice chat and face animations. As an example take a look at the most recent episode of Lab Gab, which is hosted by Linden Lab's Marketing Content Specialist, Strawberry Linden. That uses a studio format, which would be simple to put together yourself from the thousands of items available on the Second Life Marketplace that have been created by other residents . You could customise your set to look however you wanted, be that a podium on a stage (as in a typical TED Talk) or a cosy living room or an office (as if you were on a virtual Zoom call).

The digital audience might be a little more tricky to achieve, although I'm sure you could advertise for other residents to sit in the audience while you deliver your talk. (A fee for each - paid at the end of the talk - would probably encourage some participants.) You would need to rent some land and assemble your set - being aware of the limitations of the land (each parcel size can only hold so many 'items' - something we call 'LI' or Land Impact). In addition - because of avatar limits - your audience would be a maximum of 40 or so other people if you opted for the route of asking other residents to attend, so don't expect a big auditorium full.

Perhaps you could get creative (and possibly save yourself from having to pay out attendance fees to your audience!) by angling your camera as if it's from the perspective of someone sitting in the front row of the audience, looking up at you on stage. Get some recorded applause sounds to play at salient points (most definitely at the end of your talk, at least), some animations to have you walking around the stage, and you'd be all set.
