My girlfriend just got a new head and body, but she's got a line at her neck and can't seem to get rid of it ... please see the pic below. She's wearing a legacy body with genus head and E. Beauty skin and head applier.  No neck corrector with either and on dot 4 in the legacy hud. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks!

That's not something you can fix. It's a mismatch problem between the two mesh objects.

Specifically, the "directions of the face-normals" are different at the seam. To fix it, the creator would have to get both models and make them match, then upload the updated to SL so it can be given to customers.

You can tell this is the issue because the top of the body's neck (below the "seam") has a shadow on it, but the neck just above it doesn't. If the "face-normals" of both mesh objects matched exactly, lighting would behave identically on both of them, making the seam disappear because they'd both have a seamless shadow or no shadow.

She can try and adjust glossiness, environment (and intensity if supported in HUDs for the body and the head) on her head and body. Type default values down before adjusting. Only minor adjusts should be needed and it is trial and error for her.

A slight difference will always be visible unless everything is made by same creator. Adjusted good though, this difference will be like real life foundation on face/neck, where this is visible to some degree, but acceptable.

Her lifted summer hair also makes it quite visible, long hair hanging down helps covering the difference, and of course a necklace or collar would make the transition smother as the clear line is hidden.

What Wulfie said is correct! Currently the genus head and legacy body are rigged slightly differently at the neck . I believe the  Genus creator was working on fix for this but the store is currently shutdown due to another DMCA notice. The only thing you can really do is hide it with a choker necklace. I wore a simple black one for really long time before Lelutka implemented their own fix.

Its an issue with the Genus head and Legacy body problem. Its on the Genus creators fix list, but its going to be sometime before we see the fix due to the second DMCA to Genus. If you wear Maitreya or Belleza you wont have that issue.
