Fritigern Gothly Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) So... I have been swapping home styles before, but this is new to me. Just minutes ago I switched from the Shelley to the Hardy, and initially the Hardy was red, which is not unusual, but then it turned... black? I am not complaining because I do like this, but I know I did not do this. I did not touch the building in any way. In fact, I have a timer that I set to make sure I wait 30 seconds (and usually wait even longer) befor I will interact with the home. This happened within those 30 seconds. The Windlight used is midday so it's definitely not the windlight messing with the colors. I remember that when the Vics were just freshly released, there was a bug which allowed people to paint their homes in all kinds of colors, but those were always deliberate actions. There have also been issues with the Hardy around the same time (causing the system to tell you to wait 30 second before interacting with the home) but nothing like this. Again, I like it and I prefer it not to change, but I do feel I would be in remiss if I did not report it. (click to enlarge) Closeup of a corner, the box is a light source, intensity 1.0, radius 20.0, falloff 0.0. (click to enlarge) Edited July 12, 2020 by Fritigern Gothly EDIT: No, I did not use a paintable shell around the Hardy. 1
Sylvia Tamalyn Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 I have no idea how that happened, but I like it. I think I'll paint one of mine black. 3

Hubby kept it on his latest one, and was asked how he had achieved it. We assume it's just a glitch in the control 😁 2

We assume it's just a glitch in the control 😁 It is definitely a glitch, and it's one that I would use over and over if I could reproduce it 🙂 I have wished that I could turn the house black so often. The interior is now red, all the wood (woodwork, doors, floor) are walnut. I love love love it and I hope that one day, LL will decide to make it official and add black to the list of available colors for the outside. 3
Sylvia Tamalyn Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 If they don't ever add the feature, there are at least some of the shells that are awesome and easy to use (and super low LI). I love the one I bought. 3

Chuckey Jigsaw Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 I keep seeing that glitch since months. No idea what's causing it, tho. The Verne right next to me is looking like this too. 3
