Radar turns my object from green to red

I was traveling in a self-made boat ,which you can see on radar as green along with your own green avatar marker. When I cross a sim line, the green area turns red on radar. Others have said the red indicates the sim disconnected, but the sim is still running, and I do not crash. I suspect there is a script in the vessel running that didn't successfully pass its details to the adjacent sim properly. Has anyone experienced this and is there a way to debug it?
