You can answer that too if you want.

Well actually, I had kind of a bad feeling about it at a subconscious level. It's the root of all evil, the chasing of gold and silver, or the monetary representation of it.

My thought was: oh only 6 replies here. Let's have a look. That's basically how I go over all the topic titles: too many replies? Never mind.

But more on topic: when I say the title 'Gold and Silver', my first thoughts were ray-tracing and RTX graphics cards and if only SL would support them somewhere in the near future.

For some reason, it made me think of Diamonds and Rust by Joan Baez.

I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't wear them together as they outshine each other and clash.

My mother was very particular about that.  She always went with gold, because she always wore a tiny gold cross necklace.

I thought probably it wasn't about SL at all, but rather about what someone should invest in to be prepared for the collapse of the economy.

If/when economy collapses (realistically if U.S economy collapses it will be downfall for global economy) no need to worry about it cause random people will come and steal whatever gold/silver you have in stock like it happened in those Socialistic countries, just on a larger scale.

First thought was stock market.

So I also need a good safe and a big gun.

The title reminds me of the U2 song Silver and Gold. It was on the movie/album called Rattle and Hum in 1988.

Mine was exactly this, except it's silver and gold, not gold and silver, but it's still the first thing that came to my mind.  Amazing, amazing song and performance.

I've been told that warm tone people suit gold, and cool tone people suit silver. I haven't got a clue which one I am, so I wear both (though not together).

I do think that the darker your skin, the better gold looks on you.

A song we sang in Girl Scouts

Ah, the version I knew was:

Make new friends but keep the old,

Those are silver, these are gold.

New-made friendships, like new wine

Age will mellow and refine.

But old friends, alas, may die,

New friends must their place supply.

Cherish friendship in your breast,

New is good, but old is best.

Make new friends but keep the old,

Those are silver, these are gold.

I'm starting to think you take life a little too seriously.

Of course and when it runs out of ammo it could be used as a vintage hat holder.

Wait, this is supposed to be a discussion of what we thought, not a debate over the practicality of using a firearm in self defense.
