how to remove the black line appearing a the top of a transparent textured prim ?

hello does someone know how to remove the black line that often appears at the top of a transparent png texture applyied to a prim ? i use gimp. please see attached example. thank you in advance. skywalker

It's probably the image squeezed on the thin side of the prim - I typically set all 4 of the "thin" surfaces to fully transparent.

Occasionally, it's an artefact at the top of a texture, then making the texture a little less that 1.0 (e.g.  0.99) works.

Long story short, this is the bottom edge of your texture. because textures repeat and are smoothed from pixel to pixel, what you see there is essentially the top row of your texture blending with the bottom row.
