First, thank you so much to those who had the patience to answer my newbie questions yesterday. I have a better understanding of meshes etc, so thanks for that.

I have been shopping a bit and found a head shape I liked (Lelutka Skyler) and added it to my Belleza Jake Avatar. It took some efforts to try to blend the neck tone but I finally did it until I came across a couple of demos for appliers and decided to try them to see if the neck looked better.

When I reverted to my outfit, to my horror, I had 2 heads :

If I remove my Skyler head then I am left with this ugly face :

This is what my Skyler head would look like normally :

No HUD came with the demo. I tried to find something on the forum and cannot find anything.

Using Firestorm. Complexity around 20 000

Thanks for any help.

You are missing your HEAD ALPHA.  You have on a body alpha but not the head one. So add it back and you should be fine.

OR your demo skin was for Bakes on Mesh?     You may need to "turn on BOM" on the head in that case.     Sure someone more familiar with Belleza  can clear things up.

So you know -- in order to get your head and body the same shade, you need to buy a full body applier (or BOM texture) from a creator OR buy the head and body separately.    If Belleza is in an agreement with a skin maker I imagine someone knows here on the forums.

If you want to try a full body  BOM skin, you can get one free at 7 Deadly S[k]ins. You need to join the group but that is currently only 7 lindens for their anniversary event.

Good luck .

Thanks.... I think demo skin must have been for BOM...  I need to investigate but in the meantime I went a bit nuclear on my avatar and am re-doing it completely, but this time more methodically with the things I learn here. The mess in my inventory is also an issue so I am learning to organize it better and try to figure out how to avoid multiple copies of the same items creeping in.

Thanks again and I will probably be back with more questions.

Hey Stephane,

If you have the Lelutka Skyler head, it is part of their new Evolution line which supports only BOM skins. It looks like you tried to demo an applier skin on the head and when you do that the BOM head "breaks" and you see your system avatar underneath. Assuming the head works like the other female heads, you can wear HD appliers made specifically for Lelutka Evol heads on the lips and the eyes. Other skin details such as hairbases, brows and other non mesh facial hair will be on tattoo layers that you can layer simply by adding them to your avatar. There should be some starter ones in your Lelutka folder though you might have to unpack them. To fix the face so that it is bom once again,  open the lelutka hud, and at the top left there should be a white face shape. Click that, and there should be a bakes on mesh button at the very top. Forgive me, if that information is not hundred percent correct as its purely memory based. Slagging off doing actual work >.>

Cheers and Good Luck!

In order for BOM to work, you must not wear an alpha. But if you are in the position where you have a skin that has a BOM face, but no BOM body or you like a pair of eyes that are applier only you CAN wear targeted alpha for those things.  I've found that most eye appliers usually come with an independent eye alpha and in your body folder there should be an alpha there that only alphas the body. If not , hit me up in world and I can pass you folder of transferable ones I've found.
