So, I just went to upload a sound and saw this, I don't remember seeing this before unless I have not been paying attention this whole time. Clicking learn more just re directs me to the premium page but obviously there is no further info on the page

Same reported for textures so yes, that seems to be part of the plan. Again, the plan "could" change of course since it is way in the future now. This (at least for textures) has been around quite awhile - - at least on the beta grid.

The latest Firestorm release (version 6.3.9.58205) shows the option on uploads, for my Premium and Basic accounts.  

The previous version of Firestorm does not show the option for any of my accounts.

Thus specific to the Firestorm release, not to the type of accounts.

The viewer code changes to support Premium Plooos give lots of good hints about what might be coming.

  • Ability to raise attachment limit
  • Ability to wear more than 2 Animesh attachments
  • More group slots
  • More profile pick slots
  • Ability to have different group creation fees, depending on account type (Basic, Premium, Premium Plus)
  • Ability to have different asset upload fees (Texture, Animation and Sound), depending on account type - Fee is based on your subscription level. Higher levels are charged lower fees.
  • Ability to have different upload fees for different asset types

so if it's "only" that, not very interesting for a lot of people .. more groups and picks will be again too low within a few weeks... hope they also thought about the stuff under the hood. Groups are a wonky pain for many years now.

That's really interesting, thanks @Whirly Fizzle!

If premium makes mesh and texture uploading worth while - this is the first time I would be interested as a Concierge user to also get premium if the math works out.  I spend around 7-8K L$ a month on uploads for my store (mesh+textures etc).  So for me it will be interesting to see how they factor this.   I am a hobbyist user, so I can imagine larger content creators would far exceed that.   I was always hopeful they would find a way of making premium attractive to content creators.... excited to see what comes our way!

I also like the Picks one as again purely from my own use.  (I would love to have individual picks for each of my social media aspects, plus then the latest new releases along with the standard ones on customer service, info, redeliveries etc).   My main desire was always to see a more flexible profile for those who have stores - More picks isn't the full solution, but it's a good start.

Also quite interesting as removing sinks for USD income, makes an interesting change to the balance sheet....(and valuation).... possibly.

This seems rather bullyish behavior for people who have been on SL for many years and been a premium member for years..... either you pay more money or you pay more money...... I know it is not FS... I am just saying... I been on SL for 13 years (next month) had premium for most of that I   believe... and I think this is rather pathetic and underhanded that because I do not want to upgrade I will have to pay more... smh

There's nothing to suggest basic or premium will be paying any more then now for group creation/asset uploads etc.
It's possible standard premium will get some things cheaper then basic & premium plus even cheaper.

That would be very nice.  I hope they do it that way. I am really not on SL enough lately for those other perks to be of interest to me. But I would be rather upset if all the sudden I had to pay more money to upload....  ; (  Thanks Whirly.

No one knows what LL will do yet.
My list is just what is now possible with the latest premium enhancements viewer code.
Any of this could be changed.
