Chic Aeon
So I won one of the STAY HOME Exmachina Evolve giveaway bodies, got it all together and working nicely, but couldn't figure out how to get BOM working. Mostly I suspect it is because the hud is VERY SMALL on my monitor so I can see a couple of buttons that look like they turn on BOM but == anyway, I didn't get it. That was fine as I was mostly interested in how the project had progressed -- and it has nicely. NOW a friend of mine just won. Since he could barely dress himself back in the olden premesh days, I will need to help him big time. For him I will definitely need to know how BOM works. The instructions that come with the prize weren't all that clear to me. I also couldn't figure out how to make the clothing (or more appropriately texture the premade mesh). Youtube has nothing (how CAN that be? LOL), so any help here would be appreciated. Screenshots would be wonderful. Since in theory there will be about 1400 or so folks with bodies in another week, I am sure others would like to know too. @Marianne Little Did you get this body? You seem to figure things out quickly LOL.

You seem to figure things out quickly LOL. Nope, I have been very little in SL lately... health issues. It is easier to be on the forum. I have had a very quiet SL week. My latest alt creation got the male Meshbody Classic. And I found it is enough TMP stuff still on the market to dress it. I read about Exmachina here: https://ryanschultz.com/2020/05/10/second-life-steals-deals-and-freebies-exmachina-full-body-male-mesh-avatar-giveaway/ And when I saw how low clothes support is, I am in no hurry... But I noticed, on the image that shows the HUD, it is -/+ symbols on top. Can you click + and make the HUD bigger?

I am guessing the symbols don't show up well on my screen either LOL.
Chic Aeon
OK. I got this finally. I had to make the hud MUCH bigger for my screen and move around and such. Then I ended up with a very odd issue. When you choose BOM from the hud you get a message telling you to remember to take your alpha layer off (handy and a good thing). BUT even after I took off all my alpha layers and my worn tab was showing NO ALPHAS, I still had one that wasn't worn and it ONLY appeared when I went into "edit outfit". And I couldn't do anything with it. So what I did was save what I was wearing above, then switched to a girl Chic outfit and then switched BACK to the new male outfit I had just made and THEN chose BOM from the Hud again. That worked so posting here in case others have issues. I am not sure what the difference in the BOM choces are. The avatar above is wearing the new 7DS Splinter group gift skin (many tones in the pack). And as a bonus while I was searching for male skins, I found the system layer skin for Chic that she has been wearing for years. So going to see how that looks on her new Genus head. Little by little we move forward. Here is the 1.04 Evolve avatar with the Splinter skin using BOM. As a side note, along with lots of new additions to the hud, this new version loads MUCH faster than the v3 versions (last that I had tested). But the body is good for those who can't buy a full priced body. And are lucky enough to win. (Signature has a flash sale May 16 - 17 reduced price -30%) This one has well defined arm muscles, and may be an alternative to the Niramyth bodies. I can imagine those who want a very strong shape will like this. This one uses the SL UV, right? I only see different facial skins for Niramyth, no (human) body skins. I still prefer the dollarbie Meshbody Classic, since it is available without a having to win it, and it is more clothes for it. As posted by Ryan Schultz: "The Classic mesh body (the basic package, without the Advanced Material Editor) is going to be free “forever”, in the words of the person who reached out to me this evening." https://ryanschultz.com/2020/04/17/second-life-steals-deals-and-freebies-the-meshbody-offers-free-versions-of-their-classic-mesh-bodies-for-men-and-women/ I do not care about the Advanced Materials editor. The Classic mesh body has a good selection of alpha cuts, takes BOM and can use Legacy shoes. I have not tested more than one set of sandals, so demo, demo. I never liked the sculpting much in the TMP bodies but of course each person is looking for something. I don't think this body is any more complex than others (well there are LOTS of hud choices like on Catwa heads). I think it is mostly ME being new to BOM - LOL. I will see how it works out for my friend. He is almost never on these days but I like him to look good when he is :D. My man-Chic was using altamura Romeo before. Some clothes work, some don't. the problem with TMP bodies is that what is out there is really pretty old. Not many folks are making anything new for them -- logically :D. So no perfect answer for sure. Thanks for the help.

If you have specific questions you can ask here or maybe ask in the retail group for the body. There ARE a lot of parts and pieces for sure. Is that animation error or HUD is a bit laggy?
Anacleto Qunhua
Hello all, I have a question about Exmachina Evolve body, do you know if it's possible to remove nails? when i put the alpha on my feet, nails continue to "orbiting" around them so i have to hide part of feet and not always this action is perfect. thanks in advance
