No, probably not.  Funny and likely to cause the neighbor to respond in kind but I don't think it is a TOS violation.  But I might be wrong.

You could send the neighbor an IM and ask if they can make the screen transparent from your side.  This is usually the way it is done in the first place.

I came too late to the drama here, and the entire thread passed me by as I slept (glad you found the derender for whatever the thingo was you hated), but just wanted to say that that gazebo is the best $L10 anyone could spend. Isn't it the prettiest thing to have in the garden!
