Question

Hello Guys,

Im trying to do hairbases with my own texture, but the SL map has 2 parts at botton and one part at upper side.

How can I to join the upper part of the textures with the botton parts?

Thank you in advance,

Jumo ♥

The only way to get the texture flow seamlessly across is to 3d paint it on the model. You can do that on a variety of softwares, photoshop, Blender, Mudbox, Substance Painter. The only requirement is to have a SL avatar model to load in the application of choice.

You don't. That's the standard UV mapping for a hairbase for both classic system bodies and pretty much every mesh head these days.

Hence why so many hairbases show quite a seam where the lower part meets the upper one.

As Lillith says, this is a "UV map".  They are essentially the surface of the 3D object, but spread out flat, in the same way a Mercator map is a flat projection of the spherical surface of the earth.  You texture the UV map, and then your 3D software (Blender, if you are modeling something, or SL itself if you're creating for an avatar) will apply it correctly to the 3D object or avatar.
