All too many funerals and memorials in SL on behalf of people who faked their deaths.

I was witness to three different individuals  in my 10+ years in SL who faked their deaths.  Each of them came back on alts.  One of them- the situation that he created was unreal.  
Drug RL family from his SLex into it to out him (which actually turned into a blessing for the ex).  He also posed as his own real life child adult child I should say, to relay the supposed death (thru Facebook messenger & text)which was a pretend heart attack and stroke and drug out that situation to last a few days.  Then terrorized a group of almost 1000 members and deleted an entire Sim that was devoted to the group on the alt after the g4oup had pixel memorials for him.  Then came back on the original SL account & was flippant about the entire thing.

The 2nd death faker did so to break up with a gf in SL.  Then he came around our group of friends on an alt that had been made a near carbon copy avi & profile.  No one believed me when I said this is so&so.  One person even went so far as to tell the death faker my suspicions like to have a giggle at my expense.  It was then that the death faker alt Came up with this long convoluted story about how he knew that supposedly dead avi in real life.   That was supposed dead 1st account had been in a motorcycle accident. It was only after the supposed 1st account death  that the alt came around.    He went on to tell us how the dead avi told him previously about this great sim to hang out at & this great group of people to be around.  I still wasn’t having any of it and that’s when I figured out that the first avi (the supposedly dead one) had deleted their SL account.   Their name didn’t come up in search anymore. Dead people don’t miraculously remove the account from search. It was after this that he finally confessed and like the other person which these people aren’t related at all but he was just as flippant as well.
 

The 3rd one was banned from SL but was able to come back on an alt, how I don’t know.  While on the new alt, this person sat there and made snide remarks about people mourning their loss.  Before they came back on the alt they had a friend tell our group of friends that they had found out they were dying, and they were going to be taking their remaining time to focus on their final preparations and getting their affairs in order. That alt quit logging on but eventually they came back on another, 3rd avi a few years later. I believe there’s a possibility that individual was actually sick in real life, but they employed it in a way to circumvent acknowledging that they got banned on the original account for terms of service violations....

They turned out to be not so nice.  My SL was pretty interesting, tho.   I’ve a few more stories up my sleeve, too.

I knew this guy once who pretended to be normal.  He gamed me and a bunch of others for over  a couple of years, then came out and admitted he was the alt of a pretty terrible person and that it had been all an experiment to see how much he could control the actions of innocent folk who took him at face value. As it turned out, he was not able to control us nearly as much as he'd hoped. Live and learn.

There is a girl I got close to in SL Who said she was a news reporter for her local tv station.  She eventually sent me her facebook page.  After looking, it wasnt what I was expecting.  Not much info and a bunch of friends from all over.  Didnt make sense and I think it was a fake page
