About a year ago I founded a new group called SECOND LIFE PUBLIC SAFETY. SLPS is somewhat of a role playing police group. With some exceptions.

WHAT WE DO:

* Community relations

* Air & Boat patrols

* Search & Rescue

* Different classes and certifications

* Scuba certifications and dive trips

* Use of radios and reports to enhance the role play

WHAT WE DO NOT DO:

* We do not role play arrests or confinement

* We do not power play law enforcement in the community

* We do not chase people with flashing lights etc...

* We are not affiliated with LL or do we have any powers to enforce anything in SL

As of right now we have 4 Officers including my self and we are looking to recruit some more people so we have more of a presence in SL and also when Search & Rescue MAYDAYS come in from residents over the radios that we can role play out. We use specific uniforms, radios, boats, and aircraft. I keep these vehicles on guest mode at HQ for Officer use. If anyone wants to buy their own a texture package is issued. As a group we are not a picky or demanding group.  We ask at a minimum that Officers do 1 patrol a week in uniform and file that patrol as a report at HQ.

Contact Takeshi Hykova in world if your interested in having some RP fun and more stuff to do with others as we grow.

The OP told you what they do.

I think it'd be fun if each week they had a dead body and some clues.  Then they could play a Find the Killer murder mystery game.

Of course, they'd need a corresponding group of Criminals.

The Drivers of SL group might like your assistance on days when they have drives. Sometimes they route players cross country or through difficult areas, where traffic control assistance would help.
