Either set it for Sale, under the General tab for the parcel (that can take some time before you get it sold tho).  Or abandon it, under the same tab I think. Then go to your dashboard and check your land holdings in the Land Manager to be sure that your land holdings are gone.  In the Land Fee tab, reduce your tier level to zero.

I can no longer afford a Premium. Apparently I can't cancel my subscription until i have divested myself of the Home I have.  How do I do that please.

If its a linden home, stand in the middle of the parcel -

  1. Open the World menu and select About Land. The About Land window opens.
  2. In the General tab of the About Land window, click Abandon Land.
  3. Review the confirmation and click Ok.

I got in world with Firestorm but there is a lot of grey walls and not too good. Thank you for advice.

Firestorm has its own "About land" tap. You do not need to open "World". The advice you got is for the official viewer, but it was posted before you said you could log in on Firestorm.

You can also click the ground and find about land in the menu from there. This only work on the default ground, not on a floor, terrace or plants. You must do it outside the house, but inside your parcel, and nothing can block the ground.

Can you help me get rid of the grey surrounds in my viewer please?

Hmm, that is a technical question. The grey surrounds, I mean. I would say your computer or laptop's graphic card can not render Second Life properly. But I am not good with tech specifications. You could log out, and before you log in, type "Hatton" where it says "Start at". This should log you into the open water sim Hatton. It is only default ground and default water. Other avatars can log in there, so move away from them. You should see clear water and ground. There are threads and advice of how to set your graphic settings so you can use SL easier. The first thing that comes to my mind, is set your draw distance low, to only 32 M. That is the first thing to do.

But maybe you should open a thread about performance here:

https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/308-second-life-viewer/

Make sure you say you are on Firestorm. Does anyone has better suggestions where to post....?
