Question

Last month I was able to buy Vanilla Visa Gift Cards to buy Linden. And then this month I bought a Mastercard Gift Card and it for some reason denies it when I try to buy Linden with it. And then I read the FAQ. Is Second Life cutting off the Debit Gift Card Option?

As Alwin and Lil said, Linden Lab has always said that debit cards and prepaid credit cards are generally incompatible with their system, even if they are issued by a major company (see, for example, https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/billing-r11/#Section__10_8 ).

You can get lucky sometimes, but then your luck can change if you are issued a new card or if the card company makes some subtle change in their system.  You are better off using an approved credit card or a verified PayPal account.  If you still want to use your debit card, try using it as a backup funding source for a PayPal account and then feed cash from there to the PayPal account so that is maintains a balance you can use for LindeX purchases.
