You do it the same way you would for an SL system layer.

  1. Get hold of, say, 'Robin Wood' 1024 jpg uvs.  Unless Gianni uses something else, in which case get that.
  2. Open in a graphics program, like GIMP or Photoshop.
  3. Make a new layer with transparency, and paint the Tattoo, paying attention to the exact places lines leave the edges and return. (This the skilled bit)
  4. Export as a png or tga, and import (ideally to the beta grid) into SL and apply to check.
  5. Repeat 3 and 4 until content.

So I am new to avatar customization and all that jazz BUT am an artist and would love to make my own tattoos, @Anna Nova what is "Robin Wood 1024 jpg uvs"?? I have tried looking it up but the googs is very little help in this regard :) Any advice you can offer would be amazing
