I've been eyeballing the Super Noodle Dragon for a while but I'm not sure how it compares to the i monster Eastern Dragon. The fact that the Super Noodle is more than half the cost makes me wonder if it's not going to be comparable animation-wise. The second dragon has an included video that gives some examples of features and certain things look a bit off to me, particularly the walk cycle, which I could normally overlook if the price wasn't as steep. Another dragon is the Dawn Kingdoms Dragon that I bought a year or so ago that I've only worn once and didn't end up liking because the animations just felt so clunky, the huds even moreso.

Does anyone have the Super Noodle for comparison? Are the animations more stiff or more fluid than the i monster dragon? A video showcase or some gifs would help a lot with deciding which to get!

I don't have it but I have friends who do who unanimously agree it sucks. They say it is very static. I wouldn't get the supernoodle. There's s third eastern dragon type coming out too and I have been told "wait for that if you want an eastern dragon"

I think the one being worked on is a Nutbusterz product? It's whoever made those new cat gachas that just came out.

I have a noodle dragon. The animations are cute. The dragon is small. Like standard avatar knee high.

The Eastern Seems to have more animations. Noodle has some cute ones, mostly poses. Walk and stand are good. Uses 19 scripts counting HUDs for 1,216k and an ACI of 14k.

I got mine on sale and I like it.

Aaaand this is exactly the reason I made this thread because I really don't know which to believe here. I believed the reviews stating animations are good on the Dawn Kingdoms dragon and got burned 5k, and I believed the animations were good on the Nuko and ended up getting more value from a 50L gacha recently.

Gifs? Videos? Something I can use to actually compare the dragon?

Ever hear of Google?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqhA_l9RUPk  - Gives an idea of size.

Next one, at about 2 min in shows expressions and animations

Hey, look, I could be rude too!

Ever hear of Google? Or more accurately, ever heard of clicking the first link I posted?

That's not the same dragon. 🙄

That's not the same dragon that OP is talking about - I suspect the confusion comes from the noodle name. But I was also considering buying one of these two dragons they mentioned, so I'd be interested in a comparison between them, too.

Ditto, my partner was/is sometimes a Great Wyrm, (Spirit, the wingless Eastern type) since 2008 and he really likes Chibi Noodle as a ‘Hatchie’ size but is looking for something larger in addition. We will compare the new ones to his Wyrm in 3 sizes which frankly, did not have too many animations outside of the walk, run, fly IIRC...I remember a few sits, a curled up sleep, a very sedate toe-tapping head-swaying dance, something for the roars and mist breath/fire breathing...I guess it also kind of depends what standard (and variety) you are expecting in quad animations? That can account for some of the differing opinion maybe too.

IMO Timber Wilds has the best quad animations I've seen, and I highly prefer other avatars with similar standards. The chibi noodle, the maneki neko, anything from Red Remora, the kyuubi, BRDMRT's spooky raptor and manticore are also top notch. Basically I like quality over quantity; as I said earlier I was pretty disappointed with the Dawn Kingdoms dragon and it has a LOT of animations. They're just all stiff and unnatural... I also found the Roarbeast wyvern to be really stiff too-- another avatar I bought and only wore once.  😕  I no longer trust reviews on quad avatars because of that, as both of those are rated pretty highly and a lot of reviewers praise the animations and such. It's so hard to find decent quad dragons...
