What could be the issue causing this and is there a way to fix it? Not online at the moment but there is a setting that tells the viewer to show IM in local chat. Everything is doubling. Ohhh, gotcha. Does your friend by chance have a translator attached or turned on in some way? What could be the issue causing this and is there a way to fix it? That's a symptom of the "packets" of information between the viewer and servers being delayed somewhere in the transmission. The viewer/server doesn't get any acknowledgement that the message was received so it re-sends it. Meanwhile, the original message packet finally arrives after being delayed so the message ends up getting repeated. If your friend is using wi-fi have them try using a wired connection. If resetting modem/router does not resolve the issue, a suggestion is to have them reach out to their ISP to have someone come out and look at their connection.
