Every parcel in SL has a Land Impact allowance, typically based on the parcel size -- there are exceptions, but you don't need to worry about that right now.

For the Linden Homes, most are on 1024 sqm parcels, which allows for a Land Impact of 351.  The Campers/Trailers are on 512 sqm parcels, so they only have a Land Impact allowance of 175.  LI is the abbreviation for Land Impact -- some ads will simply say LI of nn.

If you aren't careful when buying and placing objects at your home, you can easily use up that LI and only have your place half decorated.

Not to oversimplify too much ..... Land Impact is a measure of how much of the region's total server resources an item will be using.  It's easy to forget that everything in world is just a construct of data in Linden Lab's banks of computers, and that there's a limit to how much data can be crammed into each one.  Server resources also ultimately cost money, so you can think of Land Impact as a surrogate for your share of the cost of running the equipment.

You can run out of available land impact super fast.

Almost everything you can buy for your linden home can be got in a quality version for 1-4 land impact. Much of that in the 1-2 range.

While it's still open, check out the builds in the Bellisseria Demo for ideas:

- I suggest a quick dash through to grab all the style cards first, as this place is set to go away soon. Then make a casual stroll and make mental notes of things you like - even looking in the homes that are of different styles than yours - you might see something in a camper that works for you in a victorian.

- even after you buy stuff, take a copy of all the things that don't have scripts in them, rez it out in a sandbox region somewhere, and play around with linking it together - you can often cut the land impact down another 10-50%.
