Is there a setting to keep the camera behind the avatar when turning.

In amongst the million options is there an option for a V1 style chat and group interface?. The only thing putting me off using this viewer over FS is the cretinous V3 chat style.

You are looking to rebind the controls -> Preferences - Keybindings

You have to bind rotate left and right to your desired keys and of course remove the doubles.

 

Counter question, how do you define Viewer 1 chat?

You can separate local chat and collapse it to a chat bar, you can make said chatbar behave like the Viewer 1 did (open/close on enter and after sending chat).

     

You can turn the V3 style name headers off.

You can't however put IM into local chat like it was in V1, thank god.

You can't turn off tabbed IM (sadly) but you can since a few updates move the tabs to either left or right side.

You can also change the chat text size.

 

I don't like CHUI, i never did but i have to deal with it for now sadly. Though i don't like it because it is far too similar to Viewer 1 and does all the things i hated so much about it. I want my V2 chiclets and separate IM windows back. The only thing CHUI could have possibly done worse is displaying IMs in local chat.
