Lines in SL feed photos

For the last couple of months, I've sometimes been getting lines in the photos I post to the SL feed. You can see it most clearly in this one:

That's not a shadow across the top: It's some sort graphic imperfection.

All of my graphic drivers are up to date and stuff I save to my drive looks fine. Someone said this is some sort of FS issue, but before I go filling JIRAs does anyone know why this is happening and if it is viewer specific?

I don't think this is related to the Firestorm bug, because that one affects images saved to the drive only, and it happens when the image size is larger than the screen size. This wouldn't apply to profile feed images because they are a maximum of 1024 x 768 (and I would hope your screen resolution is not lower than that!).

So I think you are seeing a different bug here, and it's one I've never seen before. You might want to try posting with one or more of the other viewers. If the problem occurs in the official viewer as well, then I'd go ahead and file the JIRA. If it only happens in FS, I'd contact FS support instead.

Thanks, Matty. I'll try the LL viewer, plus I'm going to give black dragon a try.

BTW, I've posted photos with a resolution higher than 1024x768 to the profile feed for years with no issue. There does seem to be an upper limit. I couldn't post a 4K image, for instance, but it handles standard hi-res, 1920x1080, fine.

The fault seems to be back;  it has been raised several times on the forum, for example here https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/448758-question-about-high-quality-snapshots/  and here https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/432715-line-in-the-sky/

I have been told by Firestorm support that it is a known problem and they are working towards a solution. How true that is I do not know.
