tilly Kiranov
I have a pretty old imac and recently all search functions have stopped working (people, places, info off notecards etc) I have deleted the old viewer and installed the most up to date one but no joy. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks x
0 Dean Haystack
When you say all search functions stopped working, you mean they return no results? I see you included notecards, do you mean the word search in a notecard is not returning any results? Some screenshots might help.
0 tilly Kiranov
The search boxes are not functional...they are all blank and will not allow me to type, see attached...
0 Rolig Loon
Um... That's not what the Search window looks like. When you click the Search icon on your task bar, you should see something that looks like this: You type your search keywords into the field that says "Find people, places, events and more..." and click Search. It looks like you may have tried to search for something by typing it into a browser window instead. If you really want to use your browser to search, you may, but it's a bit more complicated. You will need to type a URL that looks like this: https://search.secondlife.com/?q=mouse where you put the keyword that you are looking for into the field where I have typed "mouse". Then your browser will display something like this:

0 Nalates Urriah
Post the computer, viewer info from the Viewer's Help->About... or is it blank too? I suggest you try with the Linden SL Viewer and Singularity. If the SL Viewer is blank too, that will suggest a problem on your side. Singularity is used by people with older machines... Your old Mac may have reached the end of its SL life.
