Victorian homes

Hello,

How do I know there are Victorian Homes ready?  What's the process?

You just go to the signup page to request a Linden Home and ask.  If one pops up, it's available.  If not .... well ....

That's not quite tongue in cheek.  Really, you can't tell except by trying.  Houses become available when their previous owners move on or when Linden Lab releases new regions (which they do at the rate of about one region a day).  Your chances of getting a home are actually quite good. You can watch threads in the Linden Homes section of the Land forums to hear chatter about who is about to abandon a home, or to take part in rampant speculation.  You can also try using some of the strategies in this thread to improve your house hunting skills:

The bottom line is that houses are available on a first-come first-served basis, and it's largely a matter of luck whether you are there at precisely the right moment to get a home.  And a real matter of random luck that you get the house of your dreams.
