Who's Getting Who What For Valentines Day?

A handmade card? Flowers? A phone call? A cruise? A check!  Some could afford whatever they see in the store window, other write a  poem or song.

What are you going to get or do for Valentines day?

In RL or SL? 

In RL, my boyfriend and I usually go out for a nice meal in an upmarket restaurant. Not usually on Valentines day itself though, cos they are always packed. We usually go on the nearest Friday or Saturday.

In SL... I dunno. It's been a long time since I had a partner in SL and now I sorta have one again but we haven't made any plans. I'd make something, but I've left it a bit late now. He's not the type of guy to fall for the commercialism though.

I do not even know what date valentine day is. the 14th i believe, but i am unsure. Sure, i could look it up but .. MEH. I don't celebrate it irl and i always forgot about it in sl ... and now i am too old to change.

It's always worth remembering.

Because the 15th of Feb is "half price chocolates day".

I can't remember ever having done anything for Valentines. Not in real life or in Second Life. I did once upon a time work in a newsagents and helped a load of lads/men choose appropriate Valentines cards when they asked for help, which was bizarre and fun and no doubt most lucrative for W H Smith. Some of the women I worked with in a previous job used to have massive bouquets of roses delivered to the workplace to show off how loved they were, and half of them are now divorced, so I am a tad cynical about it as a day of celebrations really. Although I may go along to the Hug a Linden event (didn't we used to kiss them at one bit?)

Don't forget that you can send free Valentine gifts to anyone in SL from the vendors in Isle Of View.  You can get there from Portal Park or by direct teleport. There is a whole new set of great gifts this year. All you have to do is place your order before we shut down the vendors to deliver everything on Friday morning.  😍

My boyfriend doesn't use SL - neither got the time, nor would he be into it, so I don't celebrate anything in SL. I'll spend it in RL with him, tho. We'll go do some hiking and I'll invite him to dinner, that's about it, basically - it isn't different from any other date, but it's been on my bucket list for so long, it's sad.

In RL my wedding anniversary is in the first part of February, so we plan a little trip away on the weekend in-between our anniversary and Valentine's Day.  We don't usually doing anything separate on Valentine's Day, though when our children stilled lived at home we always got them a little box of chocolates.

Its nice. Perfect. Valentines or not. That would be a perfect day to spend with my man too. In real life.

I sent my gifts on the first day the Isle opened, with my name on them.  I saw the option to remain anonymous but I don't know why people want to do that.

My husband and I planned a trip to Austin, TX - totally forgetting that this weekend is Valentine's Day.  So we will be there and not have any reservations for dinner on a night that is not only Valentine's day, but a Friday night no less.  We'll wing it.

I'm 99.99999999% certain i won't be getting bo diddly for Valentines RL or SL though i wouldn't say no to a big fat cheque, flowers, a cruise, nice jewellery, chocolate, winning lottery numbers or a card
