Question

I have had my account for a little more than 8 years, and this is my first time ever buying linden. It said my trading limit was up to 100$, so I purchased L$ with the estimate of 100$. I tried to purchase more the next day and it says I have a monthly trading limit of 100 dollars, does this mean I have to wait for a month until I can purchase L$ again? And does this mean every time I buy linden I will have this tradling limit, or is there a way of changing it?.

limit is already 100 these days?...the older limits were starting even lower at 30 usd, but will rise pretty fast, once filled you'll have to wait  bit.  If it'not fast enough you can request a faster rise, but what we hear here sometimes, experience tells that's a low priority support case, the automatic rising will be around the same time. ( also because it's a protection for you, to overspend in the first days, as also for LL to protect against throw away accounts for laundering)
There is no other way to raise it yourself.

The basic answer is that it doesn't matter how long you have been in SL.  Your account is not activated and fully verified for trading L$ until you have used it at least once to buy L$ on the LindeX. The first time that you buy L$, the clock starts ticking. You have an initial limit -- I thought it was still $30/month too -- while they watch to see that the payment method works properly and that you are a dependable user.  Then your limits start to rise.
