Creating mesh w multi bodies with same skeletal

Hi I created a skirt in blender and have the mesh body dev kit ready the kit includes 2 different shapes under the same brand with 1 rigging skeleton to create the skirt i used the smaller body as a model. Do i need to stretch the skirt to fit the bigger body model(more curvy) and re rig it as a separate mesh? And if i make more changes besides stretching for example moving vertices to make a waist band wider would it make the two meshes look noticibly different? Or is it best to just stretch the skirt out and let the rigging do the rest? Im sorry I have so many questions lol :x
