Pussycat Catnap
You sure you meant Dalton? That's mainland, not a linden home. Since there are no rules on mainland other than the maturity rating - which is G in Dalton... chances are you've got a neighbor with something horrendous out... and are basically stuck with it. Unless we've got the wrong region here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dalton/128/128/
Sylvia Tamalyn
There is a Victorian region named Daulton. I've not noticed it being more laggy than anywhere else, though.

Reduce your draw distance down to see if that helps. That will confirm if it is neighbor issues.

I have a place in the next sim, lovely area around the linden Village. Even the castle in the other parcel, complete with dungeon (lol), is only sparsely furnished. Claireschen Hesten
What you could try is knocking back your graphics a level or two if you can, setting draw distance low and if your viewer allows experiment with initially temp de-rendering plants, trees, landscaping etc to see what difference that makes
