BOM skins - still looking horrible around the toes

So - late to the party - but I am trying out BOM... and laughing at some of my old outfits (occasionally with delight - OMG Danys French Touch).

I expected the old classic skins to have awful toes and fingernails. BUT not BOM skins. (Actually the finger nails are usually kind of ok.)

So I am wondering if it's my mesh body, or the skins... Anyone else experience this?

There seem to be finger nail / toe fixes out there. Are they meant to improve BOM skins or are they just for classic skins? What are your experiences with those? Any recommendations?

thats old system skins they had nails on fingers and toes... updated BoM skins doesnt. you can get a a fix for it there are several on MP for example [Stargazer Creations] Bakes on Mesh - Hand and Foot Fix - GIFT you wear it and then edit and colour it in to the shade your skin is.

I think different feet are different mapped. Yes, they use the same default SL map. I got a really excellent (free) set of covers from League. They don't offer 1 feet layer, but Maitreya layer, Slink layer and I think Belleza layer too.

This is really perfection for my feet. My old League skins look perfect, a 100% fit. I don't know how League does it with new skins.

I think the best would be if skin makers simply dropped most of the toe details. I don't need wrinkles, veins and shadows on  my toes. As long as the skin texture and color matches. 

So you bought new skins, with bad toe texture, that was labeled as BoM? I wonder, lazy or cheap designers put old classic layers in the pack, and don't bother to correct the toes?
