Nika Talaj
We haz a room we want to put a LOT of books into, and of course we have only really old bookcases that look kinda flat (because they are!), and others that look great but break our Land Impact budget for that room. Can you share your best finds? I won't tell anybody! It would be great if we could put some under windows, as well as have tall ones! 🤐
Elena Core
LISP Bazar has the Jacob model for 3Li, nice model for a Victorian; Ellie Rue has another boho/country one which is 2Li And one my favs: maybe you are looking for really low prims , and this might be huge, but I love it. Considering it's a whole room, 12Li is great https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Odd-Victorian-Library-for-the-Shelley/18772039 Edited January 18, 2020 by Elena Core 2
PrudenceAnton
Hmm, the only ones I know of that are low LI, are a bit outdated for modern use. But the LI is good and they look nice. 1. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/DDD-Library-Set/5995918 2. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LORE-Bookshelf/8583401 1
LittleMe Jewell
Do you want them already containing books or do you want to add your own books? I have this one that I like a lot and think looks really good - mesh, only 1 LI (2 objects, the bookcase and the books), good indoor LOD (without being super high in triangle count), modifiable: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PPK-Bookcase-mesh/7244420 I've also got this one from Park Place - it is 4 LI, modifiable and decent LOD -- I don't see this one in their MP, so must be an inworld only item, called "Sussex Bookcase Cabinet" : I also have this freebie Hobo Bookcase, which actually surprised me -- it looks old and dated from one side, but not bad from the other, and it has depth, not flat, only 1 LI (not modify though). I don't remember off the top of my head where you get the freebie Hobo items that are not on MP, but the create is 'Arcadia Asylum'. 1
LittleMe Jewell
I second the Odd full room library created by Peony. There are lots of pieces to that one, so you can disassemble it and use what you want. Side note on that one -- buy it from her inworld store for an L$50 discount: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bay City - Maddequet/49/19/27
PrudenceAnton
Not sure what you have open in LI for bookcases. 22769 has 3 different styles that are more traditional and would make a lovely library feature in a house. And the LI is reasonable. Edited January 18, 2020 by PrudenceAnton 4

Marianne Little
For a Victorian, I think this is so great. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Library-of-the-Empire-Modular-System-Bookcase/8311267 They can't be built around corners and such. This fits a straight wall. This can be built in a corner: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/WoW-Bookcases-9-textures-via-MENU/6311959 It also has a lot of variation, so you don't repeat the same content over and over. Pick up the free patio furniture from this store, even if you don't buy the bookcases. 3
Pussycat Catnap
There was a set at the Dec/Jan 'We < 3 RP' event that when linking at 4 of them I think was still only 2-3LI.
Chic Aeon
I was going to suggest the Ex Machina one also. Not new by any means but still looks very good. And for the 22769 don't forget the gacha aftermarket on the Marketplace. Easy to get what you want that way (maybe of course).
Pussycat Catnap
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Colebrook/128/129/24 I just realized we've been talking about the same set: 9 hours ago, Marianne Little said: For a Victorian, I think this is so great. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Library-of-the-Empire-Modular-System-Bookcase/8311267 Originally 3.78138m tall (insanely tall). I shrunk it to 2.03053. All linked like this was 4 land impact, not 2-3. In their default size they are 2 land impact each, 8 when linked. It hit 4 land impact total at a height of 2.82774. With just 2 of the pieces it fit into my houseboat nicely: I like that the books look 'real' if not modern style bindings - and don't have silly or 'unfinished' titles. A few sets I have bought from MAJOR brands have had titles like "place book texture here" - they used a full perms book... but then make it no-mod or don't give me the texture or UV map so I can't fix it. None of that here... I also liked the Alouette bookcase for a very similar style: 4 Land Impact, when I shrunk it to 1.99811m tall here, it hit 3 LI. What Next bookshelf is 3LI Schadenfreude one is 1 LI The round one is from Abiss Design and 2 LI, the other one is from 'World of Wood' and 11 Land Impact (extremely NOT lowprim): The rather well known Arizona set from Bazar is 3 land impact: Bazar's Toronto set is 3 land impact each at fullsize: - Do note that BAZAR items often have fullbright set on. As these do... so make sure to turn that off. Also PLEASE put an actual picture into the frames if you buy furniture that has a picture frame that says "place photo here"... Almost every copy I see of this inworld lacks photos in the frames and it drives me nuts everytime I see it... This fantasy set from PPK (PuertoKar Resident) is only 1 Land Impact. Textures are a little less detailed than the others, but good to rez if you happen to live near Sylvia ( ) : The LAQ Decore set is 3 land impact for the middle piece, and 2 land impact for each side pice. 7 total (does NOT go down if you shrink it). If you get this set PLEASE put a picture in the picture frame... I have more than this... but can't seem to find them right now... I also buy book stacks and arrange them: that's 4 stacks from Apple Fall, and one from / frag.ments' / - set on a counter from Apple Fall that I shrunk by about 50% because it was silly big for no reason, and cut it's land impact almost in half if I recall right. I toss a lot of event gifts, but hung on the that one. The books don't have any words on their bindings, but I loved the intermixed scrolls and the somewhat messiness of it compared to many others.
