Linden Homes Houseboat

I have been assigned a Linden Home ... a houseboat in Bellisseria .... since I found it empty at the moment, I would like to know if, instead of setting up one of the planned houseboats, I can use my own houseboat, of course of the right size.

Nope.  Read the covenant:

"  *Your Linden Home may not be removed, modified, exchanged, set or deeded to group, or transferred. 
  *Residents must use one of the houses provided. Modification of the house itself beyond what is built into the controls is not possible. Additional buildings or structures are allowed as long as they are in theme and meet the height restrictions."

By this time you've probably found out why your slip was "empty".  There's a life ring sitting somewhere close by.  It's the control that will rez your Linden Houseboat, in one of several styles.
