How long does a auction take?

I was wondering how long a mainland abandoned parcel takes to be auctioned off? And what's an average wait time once someone submits a support ticket to request the auction to the start of the auction?

Not sure; I've had it happen in about a week, but that was two years ago.

Are resident-to-resident auctions back up?

No. I think it's because of that loophole everybody else spotted right away and LL eventually figured out.

For the future, if you find some abandoned land that you'd like to be able to buy, you can also submit a support ticket requesting to buy the land.  (See https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/abandoned-land-r1034/  )  Depending on the size and location, LL may still decide to put it up for auction, but you may luck out and have it set to sale to you directly.   My experience has been that it's taken a few days to hear back with a response on way or the other on the support case to purchase abandoned land.
