During my experimentation there was a visible difference among the three viewers I use when it came to rendering the physics. Each was different, and in not so subtle ways. Also, what looked good in my lag-free apartment did not look so smooth down on the ground with less than 20 FPS. So not only are physics calculations viewer side, I guess it also depends upon the viewer itself.

Quite the entertaining thread! Apparently my breasts are too small for anyone to bother with, though, and the thing that I can't get out of my mind is how someone probably could use one of the posers to create a mammogram PSA. Oh, and I wonder if the extensive BD Poser will enable extreme breast contortions like the Boob Machine or whatever it is called?

As far as pubic hair is concerned...if you are looking for something that is the full "package" Session just came out with "The V" which is pretty incredible looking in its' entirety. However, can only be worn with their skins at this time but you said $ is no issue so might be a consideration. You probably don't need all those bells and whistles but it is the best looking of it's kind that I've found recently as far as fit and appearance combined.

I was going to joke about how my next project was a photographic essay on pap smear . . . except that while searching for this stuff, I discovered that one can buy speculum attachments and animations.

Yeah, ran across ads for this. It's impressively realistic, from the pics I saw, but a lot more detailed and involved than I'll require. Unfortunately, too, they are made only for Maitreya, so I'd have to get a new body as well as skins.

With regard to the latter, however . . . unless The Skinnery gets around to issuing a BOM-compliant update for my head applier, I may be looking at Session. The skins look really very nice.

Yea, forgot you aren't using Maitreya. The V is more than I need too these days - I'm long past that kind of shenanigans in SL - but bought it anyway  for the few times I also am doing some kind of nude shot. Certainly am not getting up close and personal with it though.

Session's appliers are really quite realistic - especially if you get the lighting right. One of my top 5 (with Skinnery in there too).

Ironically, I actually have a really very nice prim attachment that dates from about 2011. It's easily as realistic, or actually maybe nicer, than the mesh ones I've been looking at. But it's in a dark tone, and I'd prefer light brunette or even blonde. The store that sold it still exists on the MP and in-world: they sell a modest line of skins and shapes, but they no longer seem to carry the pubic hair attachments, so I've shot along a notecard to the creator asking whether she still has the older prim attachment in different shades. We'll see . . .

When I saw the stuff about the pubic hair, I laughed, and was going to post a comment about virtual merkins. Then I realized, oh, yeah, and all my hairs are wigs, and really *everything* here is as virtual as the wearable pubic hair.

I have an avatar that's very much "plus sized" so I demoed some of these breast deformers and they really help achieve the look I'm after. I want to look like my breasts are natural rather than silicone. I tried the Chrysanthemums in the three largest sizes, and also the slightly cheaper ones from Must Trade, and they all seemed pretty much the same except for number of options. I settled on the cheaper ones in the end, mainly because I couldn't really tell the difference.

Both these pics are with Belleza Freya, breast size 85 with buoyancy at 100 and clevage at 0, the first one is the default, second one is with the most extreme deformer out of the pack - too extreme for me but it illustrates what it can do. 

 

They do cause clipping; the bottom of my breasts show through mesh clothes with the more extreme ones, but the more subtle ones work well in clothes and they play nice with physics too.

I finally decided on the Must Trade one as well, largely because it offered a few more graduations of "sag" (although somewhat fewer cleavage levels), and so more flexibility in customizing the level of gravity (so to speak). I could get a more subtle effect with it. You're right, though: the two products are very similar.

a way to get more breast sag then in addition to Shape \ Torso \ Breast Buoyancy slider

in our Avatar Physics asset, set:

Breasts Bounce
 Max Effect: 100
 Damping: 100

Advanced Parameters
 Breast Mass: 100
 Breast Gravity: 100

the cumulative effect of this is that our breasts will sag even more than we can get with the Shape slider. And they won't boing boing bounce because Damping is 100 (instantaneous)

can make the values less than 100 depending on the look/photo we are going for

Wrong. The Havok physics engine is server side. Read the optimization page, it infers where the engine resides, region simulator.

If you are paying attention and see Havok update you will notice the viewers don't change. The viewers only use Havok to edit the NavMesh. The OpenSim Firestorm has no Havok code as it would require a specific license which is expensive. Yet the OS-FS viewer works just fine on the SL grid, at least physics-wise. You just can't edit the NavMesh.

However, lagging the physics engine server side has an impact on the viewer. Lagging any part of the region simulator has an impact on the viewer.

I was curious what Chrysanthemum's Breast Deformers did and how. I tried the demo. Chrysanthemum's deformer are designed for the breast-size crowd 50 to 100. I thought I had good size breasts at 45... But, I tried the demo anyway.

So, they work with smaller breasts too. The image shows the jump from none to max push up w/cleavage. Obviously I overdid it. I think the overdo shows even smaller breasts can work with the deformer.

I wrote up what I found on my blog. I didn't figure out how they work, just that they do. The ways I make deformers doesn't seem to be what Chrysanthemum used to make hers. After about 5 minutes of poking the deformer I gave up and declared it magic.

In the article is another image where I have a top on. I didn't get any poke-through or bouncing out of the clothes. The #4s (max flop) did hide part of the top as it cupped under and behind the breast.

I tried my Dancing Physics layer. I turn up the bounce to work with dance animations. Seems walking causes more bounce than dancing. So, I have made different physics layers for different activities. Chrysanthemum's deformers work well with physics.

Yes! My breast size sliders are (it turns out) set to 43, and the Chrysanthemum worked very well for me. The Must Trade product, which is what I eventually bought, seems almost identical, except with a few more gradations of the effect, and without the push-up option (which is a shame: I may buy the other as well just for that).

Yes, again, I was surprised how well both of the products worked with both mesh and appliers. At maximum gravity, there was some significant distortion with smaller breasts, but the mesh looked a bit weird. That, however, is a pretty extreme effect that I can't imagine ever using anyway.

This I haven't really experimented with yet -- largely because I was most interested in the effect for static photos. I am, however, going to add it to certain outfits (i.e., ones where I am not wearing a bra), so I'll need to look into how well the Must Trade attachment functions with the physics. I assume it should function like the Chrysanthemum . . .

So, here's a shot -- a variation of one that @Catrie posted in "How Does Your Avatar Look Today" -- that I retook to test out the effect of the "Boob O'Matic" that I got today.

It's a really nifty and very versatile device! It can move your breasts in three different directions, separately and together, with a reasonable amount of precision. Pricey, but worth it I think. Thanks to @Pussycat Catnap for putting me on to this!

In this pic, I've moved both breasts down a little to mimic the effects of gravity. It's most visible in my right breast (the mesh bikini top actually "broke" a little when I tried to adjust it too much), and it's even more evident in a nude shot I took (which, needless to say, I can't post here). I think it looks reasonably realistic and good? It does have the effect of making my boobs look a little "heavier," but that's what gravity is all about, I suppose.

Any recommendations on how to lower the nipples on the maitreya body. They sit up high and on top like a bad boob job on a porn star. we want to shift them down and to the front like natural nipples

You should be aware that many mesh bodies are marketed to a population that has never seen a female nipple other than on videos of porn stars with bad boob jobs.

I've already mentioned the buoyancy slider on your other thread but based on what you're saying here, the look you're trying to achieve can't really be done with Maitreya very well.  Maitreya is known for being "perky" and there's only so much that the sliders can achieve.

Another thing that will help is physics - wear one, edit it and go into Advanced settings, and increase the Gravity effect.

The Chrysanthemums deformer mentioned above might also help, particularly one of the more extreme ones (D or E). You'll get a better effect with bigger boobs.

I use the breast deformer that is included with The V Bento, and I am extremely pleased with it. I am also very pleased with the appearance of the genitals. I highly recommend the product, which just keep getting better.

That is the main reason I use a breast deformer. The V Bento does an excellent job of correcting the isssue.

The V's built-in deformer is impressive. It is also very adjustable. One can use it to move breasts or butt for photos. I reviewed Session's ***** and the update for Slink.
