Chic Aeon
I THOUGHT I really understood Windlight well, but I have never seen this before --- certainly not on any Windlight "I" made. The time is supposed to be 3 AM ish. The sky was dark (getting lighter as I type) but the environment looks like the middle of the day. Is this an EEP thing? It is so not natural. This is a new region I moved to and the default Windlight which is NOT the default mainland setting for sure. Any hints appreciated. It isn't a big deal, more curiosity. I cannot change the Windlight so I get to live with the settings. Actually I will use my own I am sure. Anyway, here is a screenshot.
DilliDallagio
It is hard to say. It might be a custom windlight or a custom EEP environment that your viewer has rendered as what you see. I have done some wacky things with EEP just playing around with it and what the screenshot shows is not out of the realm of possibilities for EEP. I use Cool VL Viewer which has some EEP bits in it, which has thrown off what I thought I knew about windlights and/or EEP environments. There is going to be a learning curve for sure whenever EEP gets sorted and ready for release. I have a feeling that this might be the default day cycle for several thousands of regions (oh my). I use my own Windlights so not a big deal. Thought it might be EEP (not a fan so far). :D.

Not from what I have seen standing at the Okemo Canyon station of the ONSR. While the EEP environment for the night sky is exactly as you have shown, it is cycling through a timeline. I am watching my shadow move across the snow. Eventually this bright night sky gives way to dawn, daylight, etc. I checked the environment and the moon's brightness is set at 50%, so yes, it is a bright moon. What I meant was that my landlord has that many regions. This is NOT the mainland default night setting for sure. I have a place in Belli also. I guess it is just an EEP thing. They may or may not EVER get this to work as it should. Alas.

Your example of night skies is what I see with using the EEP environment of my viewer all over SL, for both mainland and private estate environments (unless the owners/managers have assigned unique environments to their lands). In effect, that is the "default" night sky in EEP environments. But, if I switch over to Windlight and select the region default, it could be midday, sunset, sunrise, midnight, or anything in between (or whatever is set up by the owner/managers). Apparently, EEP environments and Windlight days/skies/waters are not on the same page. There are a couple of places I have visited at random where the owners/managers have taken the measures to make sure their Windlight sky/water/day has been imported to an EEP environment, so their land looks the same no matter the mode of the viewer, but I cannot remember where those sims are.
