animation balls

Whenever I come across animation balls, nothing appears to happen. I right-click them amd get a list of options eg "touch" or "sit here". I have tried choosing them all but nothing seems to happen I tried clicking one hovering over a raft, called "raft of passion's delight" . A number of sexual options appeared, but clicking on each in turm produced nothing except a brief disappearence of the options box, which promptly appeared again. I realize I must be doing something wrong, but i have looked in "Second Life for Dummies" and the online tutorials but can't find the answer.

Any help would be appreciated.
