Zahara Nayar
Hello I saw some Sl snapshots at Marketplace, they seem different than ever. More realistic and something like 3D. Who knows whats it? I heard about a new viewer will come, does anybody knows about it? :)
Cerise Sorbet
Hi, if if was a regular 2D photo that looked "more 3D", I will guess that it was taken with the mesh project viewer, or a TPV with some of the same features switched on like the Kirsten viewer. If the card supports them, there are more shadow and light projection options, plus a new depth of field option that can make "out of focus" objects look softer like with a real camera. Cerise Sorbet
Ohhhhh those. They look so good because they were not rendered in SL.

Vick Forcella
The images appear to have been made in Poser, or in another program that is capable of raytracing (Povray, Movray). Sculpties and Mesh are created in external programs, like Blender. The result can be viewed in a special raytracing program. That program, that can also import most of SL's creations like clothing and avatar shape, uses a completely different technique to create an image. That technique is very slow even on high end machines.
