CameelahC
do anyone know how you can work firestorm or does it work on a late 2009 white unibody MacBook. im currently using the original viewer for SL
Alwin Alcott
did you try it? .. thats the fastest way to find out But a machine from 2009, if having total different specs as SL / the viewers require so close to 2020 can be giving a lower performance or even missing the power for modern features. Zak Westminster
If you can run the official LL viewer on your MacBook then you can also run Firestorm as it is based on the LL code but with extra bells and whistles. However as your laptop is over 10 years old you will have to run it on pretty low settings in order to get any decent FPS - in honesty even back in 2009 a MacBook would have to run on lower settings as it lacks the extra power that Apple put into MacBook Pro laptops. However give it a go - if you don't get on with it just delete the app and folders it created in Application Settings & Caches.

This is not always the case precisely because of those bells and whistles. As @Alwin Alcott says: the best way to find out is to try it. Though the OP has made only one post, so I'm not so sure how legitimate the question really is.
Lyssa Greymoon
There’s no reason it shouldn’t work.
cheesecurd
if your OS is updated to be compatible with at least some version of the LL viewer or firestorm for OSX then it should run whether it runs well or not is another situation, i can say with certainty that SL will run on lower end laptops from even a few years prior, but thats on windows, i dont know what its going to be like on OSX it has a later core2duo and a geforce 9400m, so it should perform... not totally awful? for certain on windows, not great at all but it should be somewhat playable with the settings slapped to minimum
