all the home owners out there how can i get a home so i can go to sleep

Hi there! You can either become a premium member and get a free house, or you can go buy land and rez a house. You can also rent if you just want a place to sleep.

If you have a Premium membership, you are entitled to a Linden Home as part of the deal.  Read about it here >> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Linden-Home-overview/ta-p/700103.  Lots of us are not Premium membrs, though.  Whgen we want a house, we have to rent a parcel somewhere.  Once you rent the land, you can either buy a house to put on it, or build one yourself, if the landlord hasn't offered a house as part of the rental.

1)You upgrade to a premium member and Linden Labs offer you the right to get a Linden Home in Mainland. The land is 512sq m2, the house 60 prims and you can use 117 additional prims. https://secondlife.com/my/account/index.php?

2)You rent a land by another resident and there you rezz your house. Click the following link and you will find many residents you sell land or just offer land for rent: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Buy-and-Sell-Land/ct-p/BuyAndSellLand  To purchased your own house you need to visit the Marketplace

3)You rent a ready house again by another resident.

In addition you can use the search in world typing "Buy land"

About prices now, depend of how many prims you desire to use. More prims = bigger tier

You can get a premium account which gives you free tier on a 512 parcel of mainland OR a Linden Home. You can also "lease" land on an estate. There are plenty of lovely house out there that are free to low priced (hunts, freebie stores etc.) so that house itself isn't really the problem. You do need someone to put it though . When you logout your avatar disappears from SL so you do not need to worry about putting it safely to bed.

If you want to have land and a house in SL you can rent or buy land & either rent an all inclusive plot that has a house there ready to move into or buy / build your own house on your land.
