Aemeth Lysette 266
SL is in this themed residence venture to make cash, so whatever is built will suit what looks good on the land and will make the most people happy. Based on what is built so far, my suggestions are: 1. Stone cottage. Could work well with sitting those next to campers. Blending communities together to seamlessly join is a good idea for landscaping. 2. Ranch houses, a more rustic all-wood sort that would fit with more desert-like spaces. Think of the Mother sim, classic Route 66 buildings, farm houses, stuff like that. Not a camper but the house you'd find near it. Also blends well and can transition back towards woodlands, which transition back to modern houses and Victorian homes. 3. Waterworld/Loose water-towns. I saw Pussycat post that and I thought, you know? That... looks really great. I'd be for that. The sailing community would be thrilled. Again, linking to communities already built. You hit the houseboats sailing out, then you get to wilder and wilder areas featuring these little cluster floating towns. 4. Warehouse/lofts. Interspersed between traditional housing sims, the option for warehouses. Appearing as industrial/urban areas between more suburban districts.

Especially since Premium plus is out, giving store owners the ability to have store fronts in Bellissaria to have stores there Oh and Cabins where the trailers are, make it really feel like a campgrounds.

The suggestion was not just the modern design of the home but the topography and orientation of the homes. That being homes that hug terraced cliffs overlooking the ocean. We don't have that in Meadowbrook!

I remember traveling from San Diego to Santa Barbara and seeing these terraced down the mountain sides looking out at the Pacific. i would have liked if Linden would have done this style rather than the Victorian this pic is a modern take on the Meadowbrook theme, which has always been the most popular following the houseboats and traditionals with campers and now victorians has I think made the Belli continent a little bit gentrified shabby chic - because muted color tones and styling hopefully at some time this more modern style of housing will come to somewhere off the coast of Belli
Elyeah 1,344
Possible themes which may be popular 1. Fantasy- hobbit, treehouses etc 2. Old stone cottages 3. Woodland cabins 4. A modern style I think though, if I get a Victorian, I would stay there. Not sure why the Victorian era has always fascinated me. From a European perspective anyway, Victorians appear to have been quite morbid, prudish, generally they didn't aim for equality or a fair society etc etc but I do like their architecture
Chloe Dolores 4,964
As well as the fantasy options and definitely underwater / underground and tree house living I would love to see English Georgian styles as in photo or Edwardian - I know that won't happen given the Victorian style IS the period home style but I do love a good Georgian home.

Underwater - at least 80-100m depth. In pod-plants or shell houses. Cyberpunk meets Jetsons sky city Deep forest tree houses that are in the middle to top layer of trees that are at LEAST 100m tall. - You can randomly sort that order and I am equally there. I like these suggestions. The underwater abodes would also work for Chicky Delicioso's suggestion for underwater Mermaid homes. I also like Sean Heavy's idea of having areas set aside for small 'Mom & Pop' shops, although my more focused ask would be for places where folks who operate nonprofit 'community organizations'* could settle without having to worry about what might be happening to their neighborhood. Right now, for example, my main alt has a tiny hobby 'business' that is on a parcel of Mainland that is as big as her/our budget can afford. The neighbors, so far, have been great, but since I've moved there a mini-mansion full of cats appeared next door, and another resident has left and put up a large parcel for sale, so who knows what the future might bring. Another suggestion - areas with 'seasons'. I know this would be difficult, but not impossible. You can already buy trees and bushes that can have seasonal change. I know it would require residents give up some choice in their landscaping - something like living in certain "Christmas Tree Lanes" in the US, but imagine if you could say "Come to ______ in Belli to see the fall color!" or "Come to _________in Belli to see the cherry blossoms!" *If you've been to fan conventions like ComiCon you'll know that there is usually an area of 'fan tables'. Most of these non-profits could live on a standard Belli plot with the exception that they be allowed to put their places in Search. 4
Arquet 674
Mine would be (in no specific order) - Minimal/ modern beach house - ideally built on lots of little islands to that every house gets a beachfront - Urban/ industrial warehouse on a canal - Some sort of faded italian palazzo in a maze of waterways (basically…Venice in SL) - Not so much a house theme, more of a region one - a perpetually snowy setting. That probably means cabins, but I can live with that. Though ice houses would be extremely cool…. (ha!) (Guess what my star sign is? Yup, that's right, I'm a Leo.)

DevinVaughn 25
Awesome! Jumping in here with my TOP 4 possible home themes and good communities areas to go with them 1) Beach homes with water access canals, beachfront or near the beach locations This just seems to me to be a perfect theme for Linden Homes and would be very popular. The Houseboats are more Northwest in style, Seattle, but head to the sunny SouthEast for whole another kind of charm. I'm talking Caribbean and Cracker (farm house) theme homes like Key West, St Augustine, and the Bahamas. The house style are smaller, wooden, with wrap around porch, gabled and a tin roof, I think a good size for LL homes. Community landscapes and areas of interest could include: Flamingos, beaches, old brick fort and pirates, jet skis, underwater dive sites Sunken Galleons and treasure, a giant Banyan Trees with little treehouse/restaurant dining room inside the tree's limbs, East-west palms, crepe myrtle, sharks, manatees, palm trees, sea grapes, ... community meeting area could be something like the Castillo de San Marcos (an old Spanish Fort in St Augustine, think Pirates of the Caribbean!)... Could be a lot of fun. ^^ about the major key west home styles: https://www.hgtv.com/design/decorating/design-101/caribbean-architectural-style https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_cracker_architecture UPDATE: Now with more houses! Just trying to show the variety of styles for Caribbean/Cracker/Stilt. Houses designed to stay cool, weather heavy rains and high winds. High ceiling in all rooms keeps them cool because heat rises. Windows are shaded from the sun with a roof overhang which also keeps a room cooler. Wrap around porch to hang outside to catch a breeze. Stilt homes are near water to survive flooding and storm surge. Houses not as close to the water are still raised off the ground and rest on brick or cinder blocks. Beach and Bahama houses have awesome large single wooden storm shutters (one long shutter that can double as an awning), or a two side shutter on each side of the window (they are NOT decorations! They are needed to protect the home from hurricane force winds.) wheeoowww... Ok. That is really my #1 pick. But others include: 2) Desert Theme - Southwest, Sedona Arizona and Santa Fe New Mexico and Succulent gardens. Could go rock climbing, biking, hanging at the fire pit at night, and gazing at the stars. (might be fun to include some dust devils among the catus!) And the community meeting area could be something like Red Rocks of Colorado Edited December 18, 2019 by DevinVaughn
DevinVaughn 25
PART 2 3) Gothic-Medieval-Old England... I'm talking stone or brick buildings, not wood. It could be English along the lines like Hogwarts, Middle Ages, Castles, Old English Cottages and gardens. Could work for Fantasy, historical, and maybe some goths like me can Vamp a mini-castle. -^ The community meeting area could be something like a magnificent bad ass gothic ruin. 4) And now last of my picks for themes... JAPAN! I loved my old Linden Japan home so much. The entire layout of that region was beautiful. I would dearly love an update of Linden Japan and gardens. ....lots and lots of awesome gardens. Community center could be a Japanese Castle, or something more fun and modern like a Karaoke bar, or the train station... I would come up with more ideas.. but tired and needing some sleeps. My ideal would be to have it open plan inside or maybe just divided into a couple of rooms. Great idea, thanks for sharing!
Jenny Ashland 46
A modern theme would be nice, with an elevator... a beach house theme, Spanish house theme, and cabin theme... What I would like more then anything... is empty plots to use our own house with. It would be nice if they could just make a whole new mainland with plots spread about like this. I just wish we could edit the houses ourselves. Like take the inside doors off, put up our own wallpaper, knock down a wall... Also it would be nice if they asked top creators like ON*SU, Scarlet Creative, Trompe Loeil, Roost... ect... To build the houses... it would be nice to have a diff variety... Right now all 4 houses ect, pretty much look like the same house... 3
