cia Beach
Does anyone else have this problem?: I quit the game, and it wont shut down. I have left it sometimes, to see just how long it takes. Sometimes it will shut down after a while. Sometimes not. I usually have to use task wizard to shut it off. Why does that happen? Seems to be something that could be fixed. Anyone? Edited November 28, 2019 by cia Beach .
Mousy Littlepaws
I notice it happens when i'm in a really laggy place. I just task manager and force close it lol
Erwin Solo
One can replicate this behavior if one inadvertently maps their 10 GB viewer cache to Microsoft OneDrive. In that case, the viewer is waiting on OneDrive to finish syncing before closing. I am sure there are other ways to get the behavior, but that is one way
animats
I've seen this in Firestorm on Linux. If the viewer has accumulated a very large number of messages, as when debugging with llOwnerSay, it slows down, and will eventually become so slow it will disconnect by timing out. If, before that point, you try to log out, sometimes the viewer gets stuck during the exit process. When that happens, it's using CPU time and not logging anything to Firestorm.log. I suspect a race condition in C++ object deletion.
