Seeing as tomorrow is the observed holiday of Thanksgiving here in the blursed US of A, I feel a need to give thanks to the Linden gods for the wonderful crazy world they have given us. I'm grateful for free-form world where one's creativity and imagination are allowed to run wild.  I'm grateful to the residents who made my pets to keep me company as I age into a crazy old cat bachelor.  I'm grateful to the clothing designers who made my clothes so I don't get arrested for indecent exposure.  And most of all, I'm especially grateful that the Linden gods didn't provide us males system genitalia to go with our system paddle feet.

SL things to be grateful for:

The chaos of an infohub

Slow rezzing clothing after others teleports

The ability to meet people from other places I will never travel to see

Live music

My partner Sosumi

Antigravity skirts I can do a handstand in

The ability to learn something new each time I log in

The chance to find fancy clothes that look good on my avatar

Physics that always make me laugh

I can fall out of the sky without a parachute and not get hurt

Dancing animations so I don't trip over my own feet

That I'm Canadian, and don't have Thanksgiving so close to Christmas. Yeesh, you poor people! You must be totally holidayed out come January!

More seriously, Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends. And my best wishes to Native Americans who observe the National Day of Mourning and UnThanksgiving.

Yes.  Also, for those of us that don't get many of the minor holidays off work, our next holiday after New Year's Day is not until Memorial Day at the end of May.

We had a similar situation until the federal government created the rather unimaginatively named "Family Day" in February.
